A note from The Author

As controversies go, nothing compares with the contentious subject of TB, whether cattle or the badger population. Naively I assumed that if indisputable proof, one way or another was produced, that action could be taken to protect cattle and badgers from this seriously contagious disease. As with other cattle farmers I needed to know if TB affected our cattle, where did the infection originate. And what action was needed to stop the spread of TB at source. Was it cattle to cattle? Cattle to badgers? Or badgers to cattle? 20 years ago I set out on a journey that found the inconvenient truth.
